I've never been big on setting New Year's resolutions or even goals. I think the main reason for this is because I was scared that I wouldn't be able to succeed. But while setting goals is a great thing, I finally learned this year that it is more important to change them as life changes- because we all know it will. Previously, I thought changing a goal was a nice way of saying you failed. Then I realized it is more important to make sure you are working to succeeding at the right goal, instead of putting all of your effort into the wrong one. And even if you did fail at your original goal, that failure will be well worth it if it means that you succeeded at the right one. So this year I am making goals for 2012. I am going to be committed to making them happen. But I will guarantee that they will change and evolve so that I can make sure 2012 will be the best yet!
Get healthy
with better eating habits, working out regularly and losing weight.
Push myself out of my comfort zone.
Maybe by running a race or two.
Become a mom ...
or Auntie... or Mimi... or whatever else our foster child decides to call me.
Put myself and my family first.
Stand up for what is best for us and makes us happy.
Fall deeper in love
with the hubby (pretty easy since he's awesome).
Don't miss out on opportunities
because I'm focused on "the plan" since it can suck without you knowing it!
