First, tell us a little bit about yourself!
Hi! I am Alison Brady, and am married to my wonderfully supportive husband, Nathan. We have two boys, Mike, who is almost 12, and Josh, who is almost 14! In addition to working my Mary Kay business, I am a preschool/Kindergarten teacher at Heartwood Montessori School in Cary, NC.
How did you first get involved with Mary Kay?
I have been using Mary Kay products for about 6 years, but it wasn't until about 4 1/2 years ago that I became a Consultant. My sister, Mom and I all work our businesses together. It's so amazing to share our triumphs as small business owners with each other.
What is your favorite part about Mary Kay?

What is your favorite part about being an Independent Beauty Consultant for Mary Kay?
I personally love being a consultant for so many reasons. The flexibility, great commission plan, Cinderella prizes and recognition for my work weekly, quarterly and annually, and, of course, all of the amazing people I get to meet make it so easy to want to work!! But, I guess I'd have to say that my favorite part of being a consultant is learning to dream. I don't mean little dreams either but BIG DREAMS . . . putting my children through college debt-free, driving a FREE car, taking my family on luxury vacations, putting on an addition to my house . . . all with money that I've earned from my in-home business and only working 20-35 hours a week, not 60 - 80! Mary Kay has taught me to visualize what I want, plan how to get it, and work for it all the while still being at home when my family needs me. I also love that I get to move up within the company at my own pace without having to wait for someone else to get promoted, fired, quit or deem me worthy of the position . . . I'm in control of where I take my business and how quickly I move up. No one is pressuring me to work to fill any quotas ~ ever! So, I have the support of an amazing company, fellow consultants to learn from and all the while still be my own boss.
What is your favorite product?
Well, I truly have so many favorite products! It's so hard to pick just one . . . I will have to say that our New! Lash and Brow Building Serum, New! Lash Primer, and Lash Love Mascara are my newest favorite trio. I've always struggled with sparse brows, and who doesn't want more voluminous lashes? So, I was so excited when Mary Kay introduced the Building Serum. It's been about 4 weeks since it became available and I started using it right away and it's so easy to use. Just before I goto bed, I brush the tip over my upper lash line and in my brows where I want the hair to grow and then go to sleep! It works overnight! My lashes are definitely fuller, and my eyebrows are thickening up where I once didn't have hair so I have less "filling in" to do!! The Lash Primer is amazing as it helps my mascara go on smoother, last longer, and definitely makes my lashes appear longer. I apply it just like mascara in a couple of quick strokes and let it dry for about 20 seconds before applying my mascara. Oh, and when I take off my mascara at the end of the day ~ my lashes no longer come out too! Now, the Lash Love Mascara is the finishing touch. This mascara has the best applicator tip! It has tiny little bristles that separate every single lash so that there is no clumping, every lash gets coated, and it looks as if I have applied false eye lashes by the time I'm finished~ but they are all mine!
