Power of Pictures

They are worth a thousand words, right?

Recently, I saw a few pictures of myself that were less than flattering.  You know you have a good friend when they will say, "Well, you do look a little thick!" when it's true!  So after seeing said pictures, I decided my butt needs to get in gear since it is growing a bit too much.

For those of you who have followed this blog for a while, you know that there have been many attempts at getting fit.  Running programs have started and ended due to injuries and laziness.  I have also tried personal training (which I hated) and crossfit (which I loved until I realized the schedule was too limited).  I'm hoping that this go-round I will have better result by having less of a plan.  Sounds weird, but I think my strict plans put too much pressure on myself leaving me always feeling discouraged.

Last night, Kevin and I toured the fancy gym fitness club right by our house.  I'm hoping that this will be the solution to keep me working out regularly.  My plan is simply to go to the gym.  Since quite a few of my good friends are members, I'm hoping the social aspect will help get me there in the beginning.  And I'm planning on trying out all of the equipment hoping to find something I enjoy enough to keep going back.  Or maybe just trying something new will be enough to keep me going back!

But the dieting part will definitely start next week since bags and bags and bags of Christmas cookies were just laid on my desk!  What timing!
