Giving Thanks for Cherpumple

Today I hosted my first Thanksgiving dinner and I have to admit that one of the many things I'm thankful for is that it was a success! And here is proof!

It was a great meal, or really day, spent with Kevin and my brother Jon. Nice and relaxing and lots of yummy food. But I think the award for the Yummiest Thanksgiving Food definitely goes to the Cherpumple. You may be wondering what exactly this is. Well, it is the most incredible dessert ever! You start with three pies (apple, pumpkin and cherry) and bake them into three cakes (yellow, spice and chocolate). Then you stack them all together with cream cheese icing. Here is some pictures of the wonderfulness.

Putting the finishing touches on the icing

True deliciousness! I love how you can see all of the delicious layers. For those of you not as quite as familiar with Cherumple-ness, that is a apple pie inside a yellow cake on top of a pumpkin pie inside of spice cake on top of a cherry pie inside of a chocolate cake all with cream cheese icing!

Hope you also had a great and yummy Thanksgiving!

  1. Congrats on a successful TG! I hosted my first last year with 12 people (eek!). It sounds like yours was much more low key. Isn't it nice to pull off such a big holiday yourself? Something about it makes you feel so grown up. ; )

That cake looks interesting. I'm going to put it on my list!
